Ziguang Zhan Rui Pan Zhengang: The first 5G chip will be available at the end of the year

Jul 13, 2019

At the 2019 (and 7th) IMT-2020 (5G) Summit held today, Pan Zhengang, vice president of Ziguang Zhan Rui Central Research Institute, said in his speech that the first 5G terminal chip launched by Ziguang Zhanrui will be first oriented to the home broadband market. A variety of products including CPE and other 5G chips equipped with the Ivy 510 will be available at the end of the year.

Ivyo 510 is the first 5G terminal chip launched by MAKALU platform. It adopts TSMC's 12nm process technology to realize 2G/3G/4G/5G communication modes. It conforms to the latest 3GPP R15 standard specification and can support SA (independent networking) at the same time. And NSA (non-independent networking) networking mode.

At present, the Wisteria 510 supports the Sub-6GHz band, and in the millimeter wave, today, Ziguang Zhanrui announced that it has completed the 5G millimeter wave test in the 26GHz band.

Pan Zhenang said that the company will first choose the home broadband market as the first target market. First of all, because the home broadband market has great similarities with the traditional eMBB and other markets, while smart homes and buildings belong to the vertical industry that is relatively early in contact with 5G, it is hoped that this kind of “Dongfeng” will quickly start.

In addition, according to predictions, in 2022, the size of the home intelligence market can rebuild a smart terminal market in 2018. By 2025, the entire market will be more than 200 billion US dollars, so why is it that Ziguang has chosen such a market as an entry point? the reason.

According to Pan Zhenang, the MAKALU platform will reserve more low-level processing capabilities and external interface capabilities for industry customers. These capabilities are prepared for the industry to find killer applications, including smart cars, industrial interconnection, and telemedicine. , digital payment, etc.
